Lesson introducing the 4 set products for section B of the new 9-1 GCSE media course.
Students use the fact sheet provided to make initial investigations into the audiences for and industries behind each product.
Introductory lesson followed by lessons on all four set products. Approx. 3 hours each.
Consolidated by Mock of Section B with mark scheme that is different from the material provided in SAMs.
Designed as a first few lessons for GCSE Media students to learn and apply terminology for moving image media.
Tasks include analysis of Mise en Scéne and creation of shot dictionaries.

The lesson explores conventions, analysing existing products and compares products to historical counterparts.
Students will examine 2 contemporary and 1 historical advert in order to analyse the representations they create.
